Body doubling is a simple but powerful support tool that many neurodivergent people find helpful. Sometimes having another person quietly present can make it easier to get started, stay on track, or move through tasks that feel overwhelming when you’re on your own!

There’s no pressure to be productive and no expectation about what you “should” achieve. The goal is simply to create a supportive, low-pressure space where you can focus in a way that works for your brain.

Far from trying to change who you are, we aim to work alongside you – supporting you to draw on your own values, strengths, and lived experience to find strategies that help you move through life in ways that feel more manageable and aligned with what matters to you.

What the session will look like:

  • Arrival & Regulation Check-In (10 minutes)

  • Task Selection & Gentle Plan (5 minutes)

  • Let’s do it! (Block 1) (30min)

  • Regulation break (5 min)

  • Let’s do it! (Block 2) (30min)

  • Reflect and celebrate! (10min)

Diverse and Thriving acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation. We recognise their continuing connection to the land and waters and the continuation of cultural, spiritual, and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. We thank them for protecting this beautiful land and its ecosystems since time immemorial. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Nations Peoples across Australia.
